Displacing feelings

Very often, without realizing, people displace their emotions and feelings. Displaced emotions imply projecting one's emotions on someone who is not the cause of the emotions, but is usually a safe target or vent for such expression. Thus, stressed individuals often express their anger and frustration in front of their spouse or children.

Displacing one's emotions is not only wrong, it's harmful to relationships and mental peace too. Therefore, a conscious effort must be made to compartmentalize one's sentiments - and especially create a divide between work place stress and obligations towards one's home. That is the only way in which one's family and friends will not be victims of emotional outbursts which they do not deserve.

A Positive Mind

In order to improve oneself, one needs to always think positively. Research has shown that a positive attitude can bring about a lot of change in the way a person work's. It also helps in improving a person's performance .Positive and continuous thinking not only improves a person's ability to do work but also makes a person more efficient.
If we think positive, our approach to our work will change. If we has a positive outlook towards our life and our work, we can be a happy and successful person. In fact if we think positive, our work will become a lot easier as our approach to our work will change.

What Does Self Improvement Mean?

Most people today talk about self-improvement in the physical sense: that is, keeping a healthier and healthier body day by day. They forget the most important part of improving oneself: the mind.
Self improvement in the mind is all you need to take care of yourself, and 'improve', if that's what you're really looking for. Don't be a stereotype and think that mind-improvement is all about Yoga... it really is about meditation. And you don't need to sit down and close your eyes for that, you can be doing it even while traveling in a bus from your home to your workplace. A little bit of reflection in a day is all you need to do to 'self-improve'.
